iPhone Bug?

Whenever my iPhone is dock, almost every minute or every couple minutes, my iPhone will trigger iPhoto asking if I want to import any images. It is extremely annoying at night since every time when it tries to trigger iPhoto there’s a sound coming from the iPhone which disrupts my sleep. At first I thought it was an auto-sync problem, so I turned off all auto-sync activities to my iPhone. Finally the problem drove me crazy enough that I decided to call Apple. Surprisingly this wasn’t such a widespread problem, since there was no questions about this on the internet and the helpful lady took quite a while to find an answer for it. Turns out it is Image Capture which triggers this problem. If any of you is experiencing this problem, the way to resolve it is:

1) Go to Applications folder and open Image Capture
2) Go to Preferences and General Tab
3) Where it saids “When a camera is connected, open:”, choose No Application

Although that solved my iPhoto problem, but iPhone still keeps making that click sound whenever it is docked. Turns out this is actually a new problem (BUG!) for them. I wasn’t able to follow their instructions since I was calling them on my phone (which has terrible reception in my apartment by the way), and for some reason Skype refuses to call their support line telling me it doesn’t exist. So the helpful lady left some instructions on how to hard reset my iPhone, and if it doesn’t help it will need to go into repair. There you go, first bug that defeated my iPhone (nonetheless, I had been really impressed by this piece of technology so far).
